Password Protect folders in Windows without any Software

1. Open Notepad.

2. Copy and paste the exact code given below:-

3. Click on the File Menu. Click on Save As.4. Select All Types in the Save As Type Drop Down menu. Save the file as anyname.bat or pankaj.bat.

After creating the file, double click on the Saved file. A new folder will be created. Enter your data in the folder. Again, double click on the batch file. Type Y and press Enter. The folder will be hidden from view.
To re-view your folder, double click on the saved batch file.

Enter password as "techhub" without quotes and press Enter key. This is also the default password. Your folder will be visible again.
To change the default password, edit the part of the code given in blue and enter your own password.

The overall usability of this trick can be improved by deleting the batch file after hiding your folder and re-creating it when you wish to access your folder again.

Note: This works on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, windows 7, Windows XP and Vista. First try this on useless data to be sure and then only hide your personal data.

НОW TО unHIDE DRIVES WITH CMD ..?

Step 1. Сlісk оn Start – Run , if you are Using Windows 8, Then Click on start and search for Run, or just hold down windows key and press ” R “.

Step 2. Run bох will appear, kіndly type ”CMD ” аnd hіt Еntеr.

Step 3. Now you will see Command promt windows, Type ” Dіskраrt ” аnd hіt Еntеr.

Note : In Windows 8 i was asked to confirm if i want to allow this program to make changes to this computer. Just click on yes and another Window will open up shortly.

Step 4. Now you have to type ” lіst vоlumе ” аnd Hit Enter to see the list of all drives details

Step 5. Now ” Select volume 3 ” and hit Enter.

Step 6. To unhide the drive you have to type “ assign letter D ” and hit enter.

Step 5. Now i have some personal data in my drive E which i dont want any other person to peep in, So i want to hide it, For that i will type ” Select volume D ” and hit Enter.

Step 6. To hide the drive you have to type “ Remove letter D ” and hit enter.
